We are looking for an  IT Demand Manager  to support our client based in Tallahassee, Florida.

The Opportunity

TECKpert seeks an IT Demand Manager to support our client, a government agency in Tallahassee, FL. This consultant will act as the primary liaison between IT and business units, managing IT demand, facilitating collaboration, and ensuring business needs are translated into effective technical solutions.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Lead business requirements gathering through interviews, workshops, and analysis.
• Serve as IT demand manager, maintaining a pipeline of IT requests and initiatives.
• Assess and prioritize demands by urgency, complexity, and alignment with strategic goals.
• Develop business cases, process documentation, and user guides.
• Conduct business needs assessments and guide solution design processes.
• Implement feedback and continuous improvement processes.
• Produce daily/weekly reports and dashboards on demand management activities.
• Negotiate deliverables across business units to ensure successful outcomes.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to IT governance, compliance, and financial management standards.

Compensation and Term 

This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $135,000  per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Qualifications you need

A successful candidate has the following experience:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Communications, or related field.
• 7+ years of combined IT and business experience.
• 3+ years in business analysis, project management, or IT planning.
• Proven ability to work with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of IT service management frameworks (ITIL, COBIT).
• Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems architecture, and emerging technologies.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
• PMP, CBAP, or ITIL certification preferred.
